Here's another pill of curiosity and knowledge.
Today's topic deals with a curiosity about one of the most fascinating and ancient empires of antiquity, which influences our culture even today: "Eco-sustainable Ancient Rome".
The Roman Empire, as we know, was the harbinger of numerous inventions, sometimes cutting-edge even with today's eyes.
Specifically, the Romans were not only skilled engineers, but also exceptional masters of eco-sustainable construction (despite the fact that at the time it was not as urgent as it is today to pay attention and concern towards this topic). An American archaeological study has, in fact, hypothesized that Pompeii was built, in part, with waste specifically recycled and reused to simplify and make its construction less expensive.
Even in eco-sustainability the Romans had something to teach us!
